Just wanted to get this information here, so I don’t forget where it is.

Not that anyone believes OJ Simpson is innocent of the 1995 murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, after all there was plenty of criminal evidence that strongly incriminated Simpson.   Among these were hairs consistent with Simpson’s on Goldman’s shirt.  And there were blood droplets too near the murder scene.  Droplets that Simpson and about 0.5% of the population share.

But from a forensice scientist familiar with the scene, there was also blood matching Simpson’s on Brown’s blouse.   This information was ruled inadmissable because when police got to the scene they found Brown face down in a pool of her blood and turned her over, possibly to determine if  she was still alive.   They then turned her back, face down, as they found her initially.  Simpson’s blood was on the back of Brown’s blouse and defense successfully argued that, because police turned Brown over, the Simpson blood was ‘tainted’ and could not be introduced as evidence.

Simpson also had a cut on his finger when he was picked up.  The guy was there, for certain.
